Rumours

I'm stuck at home with a sore foot, so what better way to spend my time than with a new blog post! Today's is an outfit post. This was from a few weeks ago. Me and my brother went costume shopping for Reel Music's movie soundtrack club night event. It was a lovely warm and sunny day. Here's what I wore.

The trousers are from Matalan. I've become a big fan of printed trousers. There are so many different patterns to chose from and if it features lots of different colours then there are also endless possibilities of what else you can pair them with!
This time, I wore mine with a lilac Fleetwood Mac t-shirt which I found in a little cheap boutique in Startford for £5! The light denim jacket is from Next but I bought it from eBay and my flats, bag and sunglasses are all vintage. The shoes are actually old nurse shoes so they're super comfy.
Here was the end result of costume hunting
Don't worry, I didn't eat any apples from weird old ladies.

I'm currently taking note of my favourite outfits over at this years Cannes Film Festival. I'll post up a list with the top lists from the whole festival when it finishes next week, so look out!

Don't forget to like my Facebook page, there'll be an exclusive Facebook only giveaway coming once it reaches 100 likes! For now, I'll leave you with some Fleetwood Mac. Thanks for reading, don't be shy, leave some feedback :)

Best Dressed at the 2013 TV Baftas

Last night saw the celebration of Great British Television with this years BAFTA's. Out came the Brits in full force showing they know how to look glamorous even in those high winds...well, most of them. So here's my list of the best dressed celebs on the red carpet last night.

1. Sienna Miller
To kick things off we have British actress Sienna Miller in a very cute skater dress by British designer Matthew Williamson. This is definitely something I would wear.

2. Amy Nuttall
I absolutely love this evergreen colour on Amy, it compliments her red hair so perfectly. The woven detail of her dress gives her curves in all the right places.

3. Jodie Whittaker
Jodie looks so sweet in this delicately detailed dress matched with an understated updo and black satin clutch.

4. Myanna Buring
Looking gorgeous in green, Myanna shows some skin in this cutout design. I love the contrast of the fitted body with the oversized sleeves.

5. Helen McCrory
Helen has gone for a big monochrome print but paired it nicely with some laid back pockets and a loose ponytail.

Sheridan Smith
I love this look because it's slightly different. The satin material gives it an elegantness to it, but the leopard print adds a bit of fun!

7. Tamsin Greig
As a big Greenwing fan, I am very excited to feature not one, but two cast members from the hit Channel 4 show. Here's the first, Tamsin Greig. Wearing this delicious royal blue gown that just skims her slender frame. No need for over the top jewellery, just some patriotic footwear and a cheeky grin.

8. Emma Samms
Another monochrome look, this time in polka dots. The bejewelled embellishment adds some glitz to a somewhat common print.

9. Lucy Watson
It can sometimes be quite difficult to pull off wearing a long white dress without looking like a bride, but Lucy has managed it with her minimised hair and jewellery.

10. Olivia Colman
Introducing Greenwing lady number 2! Here's Olivia Colman looking more glamorous than we've ever seen her before. It's great to see her finally getting the recognition she deserves, I am a massive fan and she's such an amazing actress (you've all watched Broadchurch, right?). She gone for a classic Westwood style dress and has matched the roughly sewn gown with a messed up barnet.

11. Miranda Hart
Yet another monochrome look on the red carpet, this time from comedy Queen, Miranda Hart. All it takes is a statement printed blazer and some jewelled flats to make a stylish outfit. I love the 60's feel from the geometric print.

Gatsby Girls
The Great Gatsby hasn't even hit our screens yet but these Brits have already adopted the 1920's fashion trend which is sure to take the nation by storm once more just like that first episode of Downton Abbey when we suddenly all added the 'Lady' prefix to our names. Expect lots of black & gold, tiered skirts and intricate beading.

Lacey Ladies
The Great Gatsby has also brought back delicate lace all in neutral tones in all sorts of designs, whether its sleek and sexy or girly and floaty, expect to see a lot more of it!

If you're looking to add some new pieces to your wardrobe but can't afford to hit the high street, why not pop along to this awesome Swap Shop in Hackney this coming Saturday!!
Just bring your £5 entrance fee and any clothes you no longer wear and take home something a little different. You can also get your nails done at one of the stalls in between browsing the rails!

Thanks for reading, I'll be back soon with a new outfit post. Be sure to like my Facebook Page, I'll be doing an exclusive giveaway once the page reaches 100 likes!!
