Front Row Darling

Happy Saturday!!

This week I received my first collab gift from Dauphines of New York who make luxury statement hair accessories. As a big fan of vintage fashion, their glitzy headbands really caught my eye. They just scream 1920's glam - think Downton Abbey and The Great Gatsby.

Dauphines of New York describe the women that their collections are made for as 'modern, trendsetting women of today, the style icons of tomorrow', so I am extremely privileged to become one of them. Dauphines sent me the 'Front Row Darling' headband from their latest collaboration with Sephora. This headband features 3 strands - the gunmetal chain, a black leather centre strap, and a strand of miniature clear crystals. Like all their other headbands, it has an adjustable strap at the back (a bit like a bra strap) so you can make it tight or loose to fit around your head comfortably. They also give you 4 different ways of wearing the headband, with one way being to turn it into a necklace. For my headbands first feature on the blog, I've decided to wear it in a classic fashion.

The leather strap gives a real modern twist to this classic accessory. This piece is so easy to dress up or down and I'm really looking forward to trying out all the different ways of wearing it, so keep your eyes peeled for it popping up again in the not so distant future. You might even spot one of the other styles, I'm currently lusting over the big blue crystals of The True Original *swoon*.

So, what else did I wear it with?

It's my favourite burgundy H&M blazer again! I forgot to show off the cute elbow pads, so there they are in all their glory. I love small touches like this on clothing. It's these things that make items that little bit unique. Cold days call for thick wooly tights. I love this speckled burgundy pair as they're something different to the usual black. I know, I know, I'm wearing black and brown leather in the same outfit! It was snowing before I left and these are the only boots that I won't fall over in.

This tartan number is another vintage purchase from Beyond Retro. It's knitted wool, so keeps me very warm. Just look at that velvet collar and those buttons - how delicious! The tie back waist gives it a great shape too. This was practically made for me!

Whilst on the subject of keeping warm, be sure to check out the giveaway at the end of my previous blog post for a chance to win something cosy from Uniqlo!
